Step By Step

Balayage 1

Step 1

Section the hair into quarters using the natural parting

Step 2

Apply formula 1: NXT Metallics 60g 9-72 + 60g 6%. Brush on freehand to the mid-lengths and ends

Using fingers to massage well into the hair

Step 4

Mix up formula 2: 50g NXT Meche Extra Lightening Powder + 30g NXT Meche Extra Lightening Cream + 60g 6%. Switch to a larger brush and apply colour in a ‘V’ shape

Once the section is complete, use film to keep separate

Continue working up the head applying in a ‘V’ shape and massaging the colour into the hair

At the front sections, slope the colour down from the hairline

Again, use fingers to soften the colour line and blend for a softer result

For the top/crown section, work in curved brickwork sections

Use formula 1 to add colour

To finish apply formula 3: 50g NXT Meche Extra Lightening Powder + 30g NXT Meche Extra Lightening Cream + 60g 9% for higher lift. Alternate the Meche Extra Lightening Cream and formula 1 through the top section until finished. Process for 45 minutes then style

The finished colour is natural sun lightened with warm copper and golden tones
